Blomberg & Nelson grew up listening to Latin American folk music and 1960s-70s American pop and jazz. Blomberg plays trumpet, harmonica, and piano, and Nelson is a multi-instrumentalist. Their songs combine upbeat tunes with wry, thoughtful lyrics about the human condition. A bit Randy Newman, a smidgen Steely Dan, a touch Beach Boys, and a dose of country blues.
